Title: Design Engineer

Field: Mechanical/ Structural Engineering (Design)

Duties:

·Structural design calculations, complicated structural design would be undertaken by specialist structural designers.
·Mechanical design of motor/geared drives, shafts, bearings, sprockets etc forming part of a variety of types of equipment employed in the field of mechanical engineering/handling.

In addition to being able to undertake the design and detailing work associated with turn key engineering contracts within a small team of engineers and draughtsman, it would also be expected that the candidate would have the ability to project manage or at least have some background in project management and a willingness to accept project management disciplines.


Experience & Skills
·Qualified to degree/HNC level or similar
·‘Hands on' ability to design, typically in structural/ mechanical design
·Previous experience within a similar role preferred
·SolidWorks, AutoCAD
