Desired Qualifications - Education/Experience

A minimum of 5 years hands on work experience working on technical equipment preferably used in laboratories would be advantageous.

Duties:- To be a centre of change, of continuous improvement and best practise and to ensure training of staff is consistent and to the highest standard and best possible safety standards. Co-ordinating lean projects in the production department whilst training staff in best techniques using Plant Operating Procedures and other aids. * Develop in conjunction with Production Manager and shift Supervisors lean manufacturing initiatives. * Utilising lean manufacturing tools co-ordinate teams, lead projects and follow through with audits to ensure compliance (e.g. Kaizen). Monitor, measure and report lean improvements. * Develop in conjunction with Production Manager and shift Supervisors manufacturing training programme. * Carry out internal production training with plant operators and new starters on plant. * Supporting supervisory roles in the absence of Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor. * Responsibility for new equipment with regards to training, co-ordinating puwer assessments, risk assessments, service contracts and TPM . Desired Skills, experience and qualifications:- * Lean manufacturingLean tools (VSM, 5s,Kanban etc), project management. * DMAIC with Gate review, Kaizen, Kanban, JIT. *Training design and delivery (live situational, classroom, coaching , master class, E-learning). *IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc..). *Understanding of chemical process operations. *Design, implementation, monitor and review of lean initiatives. *Ability to lead and coach individuals and teams. The job role will not be office based, 90% of the role will either take part on the factory, training operators or holding/participating in meetings. Support will be given with all documentation such as POPs, training schedules and presentations. The role will be based on a rotating two shift system (6-2/2-10) to allow interaction with both shift supervisors regularly. There will be an occasional requirement to train on nights
