For more information on this vacancy, please contact Jason Johns at RGB Recruitment.\n\nCivil CAD / BIM Technician (Civil 3D) – Cardiff\n\n We are partnering with a well-established medium-to-large engineering consultancy that is continuing to grow its Civil Engineering team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil CAD / BIM Technician to join a collaborative and technically strong team, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, commercial, data centre, and wider building sectors.\n\n The Role\n\n As a Civil CAD / BIM Technician, you will play a key role in the production and coordination of high-quality civil engineering drawings and models, supporting the successful delivery of projects from concept through to construction.\n\n Key Responsibilities:\n\nProduce Civil 3D models, drawings, and technical details for below-ground drainage, external works, and level designs.\nWork closely with Civil Engineers and multidisciplinary in-house teams to deliver coordinated design information.\nSupport design coordination with external architects, MEP consultants, and contractors.\nFollow established BIM standards, workflows, and project protocols to ensure consistency and quality across project deliverables.\nPrepare general arrangement drawings, sections, details, and schedules for a variety of building projects.\nAbout You\n\nIdeally 5+ years’ experience in a similar Civil CAD, BIM, or Technician role.\nProficient in Civil 3D and experienced in producing civil engineering drawings and models.\nStrong understanding of drainage, external works, and infrastructure design packages.\nComfortable working within multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating with external stakeholders.\nBased locally to Cardiff or within a commutable distance.\n\nWhat's on Offer?\n\nSalary £30,000 - £45,000\n25 days plus bank holidays\nProfit share\nGroup pension scheme\nOpportunity to join a growing and highly regarded engineering consultancy.\nExposure to a varied and exciting project portfolio, including residential, commercial, and data centre developments.\nCollaborative team environment with opportunities for professional development and career progression.\n\nIf you are interested in learning more, or know someone who could be a great fit for this opportunity, please get in touch
