We are recruiting a Electrical Engineer to join the team located in Edinburgh.\n \nTo operate, maintain and manage electrical and mechanical building services across the site with minimal supervision. The role includes PPM delivery, reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, and supporting specialist contractors - ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with CBRE procedures and QHSE standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nMaintain, repair and operate site electrical systems, plant, equipment and building services.\nDeliver PPM, reactive tasks and statutory inspections to compliance standards and deadlines.\nDiagnose and complete electrical maintenance tasks (Electrical bias; must hold a recognised Level 3 electrical qualification or equivalent).\nSupport mechanical, HVAC, water systems and general building fabric tasks when needed.\nUpdate CAFM systems with accurate task status, notes and compliance documentation.\nFollow CBRE QHSE procedures, ensuring safe systems of work and adherence to legislation.\nLiaise with, induct and supervise specialist contractors across electrical disciplines.\nMaintain a clean, safe and professional working environment at all times.\nParticipate in training, toolbox talks and technical development activities.\nCarry out additional duties or support work required by CBRE Management or the client.\nPerson Specification/Requirements\n\nEducation & Training\nGood general education with strong written and verbal communication skills.\nRecognised Level 3 electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365/2330, or equivalent).\nApprenticeship or formal electrical training programme preferred.\nAdditional knowledge of mechanical or building fabric trades beneficial.\nExperience\n\nStrong working knowledge of commercial electrical systems, distribution boards, lighting, containment and associated plant.\nExperience working on PPM and reactive maintenance within commercial buildings.\nUnderstanding of safe electrical isolation procedures and permit‑to‑work processes.\nGood awareness of H&S practices and risk assessment requirements
