Public Liaison Officer – Cycleway Project (Slough)\n\nLocation: Slough\n\nProject: Urban Cycleway / Active Travel Infrastructure\n\nContract: Umbrella \n\nStart Date: ASAP\n\nWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Public Liaison Officer to support a major cycleway construction project in Slough. This role is critical in maintaining positive relationships with local residents, businesses, and stakeholders throughout the construction phase.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAct as the primary point of contact between the project team and the public\n\nManage public inquiries, concerns, and complaints related to construction activities\n\nCommunicate upcoming works, traffic management changes, noise, and access impacts\n\nPrepare and distribute public notices, newsletters, and updates\n\nLiaise with Slough Borough Council, local stakeholders, and emergency services\n\nAttend community meetings, site walkabouts, and stakeholder briefings\n\nMaintain accurate records of communications and issue resolution\n\nWork closely with the construction team to proactively reduce community impact\n\nEssential Requirements\n\nPrevious experience in a Public Liaison, Community Engagement, or Communications role, ideally within construction or infrastructure\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\n\nAbility to handle complaints diplomatically and professionally\n\nOrganised, self-motivated, and confident working independently\n\nGood understanding of health & safety and site environments\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office (or similar tools)
